Welcome to our page for young people of secondary school age.  Andrena Palmer is our youth worker and she is helped by other members of the Congregation.  For information about our Ministry with younger people and our uniformed groups click here

QUEST

Young people meet on Sunday mornings during the first half of the 10am service, and then join the church service for communion. We explore the Christian faith in ways that link to our own lives.  Quest is for those in school years 7 to 9; older teenagers have a separate group, SHaPE, which meets informally.

Collage made by Quest mambersWe have often worked on special projects such as the collage hanging on the wall halfway up our stairs and the stained glass windows in the Gwinnell Room.

Click here for a slide show of a joint project with SHaPE which used shoeboxes to depict Scripture stories.
decathlon club logoHoliday Clubs
Last year we ran two summer holiday clubs:
Senior club, Decathlon for young people aged 11-15
Junior club, On your marks for children aged 5-11

The clubs included games, crafts, music, and Bible teaching. Some members of the senior club have continued to meet about once a fortnight for more of the same!

This year we plan to run two clubs again, Monday 29th July to Thursday 1st August, in the mornings, with a grand finale church service on Sunday 4th August. Details of our theme, and booking forms, will be available soon.

is our youth worker. Andrena says about herself:
I’m… old enough to know better (!) I currently live in Catford, South East London and studied Business Information Systems at University in Bristol.  I am a big fan of holidays; I love the sun and I enjoy lying on a beach with a good book, as well as going to America or Jamaica to visit family.  I am also a big fan of CAKE - any  flavour - and going to the theatre for comedy and musicals (the Lion King is my favourite).  My previous job roles mainly been in retail management, but I listened and responded to my call to youth ministry and started a new career two years ago.
