BAPTISM:
Baptism is the ceremony in which a person joins the Christian Church. The
service is now arranged in two parts: babies may become part of God’s family
soon after birth, while instruction and first Communion are reserved until
children are old enough for confirmation. Our Sunday schools and
Junior Church help prepare the way for young people baptised as babies, to
become Confirmed. |

MARRIAGE:
Christians believe marriage to be ordained by God as the best way of rearing
children in the context of a strong, loving relationship, while providing
parents with the freedom to develop into the persons God wishes them to
become.
In the first instance contact should be made with the Rector who explain the various choices open to you in the planning of your wedding. |

BEREAVEMENT: This is one of the
most difficult and painful experiences. St. Mary’s provides a ministry of care and counselling, which begins with the provision Funeral and Thanksgiving Services in church or at the
local crematorium. The burial of cremated remains
can be carried out in our Garden of Remembrance, with entries in our Book of Remembrance. In
addition, an annual Memorial Service and follow-up visits are
available to anybody living in our area |
